The shared roofs — lodge, tavern & inn, sauna, barn, workshops — built on the already-cleared ground, much of it by our own hands.
Every commons needs a hearth. A permanent tavern and inn is where a newcomer lands their first night, where the guilds meet, where the music and the fiddle and the stories happen. The Green Dragon, if you like. A commons without a gathering place is just a subdivision with chores.
It's commons through and through — the building is the trust's, raised and kept by the Hearth Guild, and can never be sold off. But running it is somebody's living: a publican and innkeeper pours the pints, books the rooms, and earns from the hearth they keep. The commons owns the roof; a member makes their life beneath it.
Around it: a lodge for meetings and shelter, a sauna (recovery, paired with the dojo), a barn and workshops. All on the already-logged ground, so we build on what's cleared and leave the standing timber standing — and much of it goes up by sweat.
The Hearth Guild raises these buildings and keeps the fire lit. Builders, cooks, brewers, and barkeeps very much wanted.
