Paradise Ain't a Pair-O-Dice.
(Silvanus — the Roman god of forests and wild land. Not the other thing. Eyes up, you degenerates.)
Years of putting trees in the ground on other people's land. Frozen mornings, bug-thick afternoons, knees and backs wrecked by forty. Decent money — and still, at the end of every season, renting, with nowhere that's ours.
So we're buying a mountain. Together.
A few dozen of us, pooling what we'd otherwise hand to landlords, to buy off-grid land in the Kootenays and build a place we actually own — log homes, a sauna cut into the hillside, gardens, an orchard, and a few hundred acres of logged-over forest we'll bring back ourselves. We know how. It's the thing we're all good at.
The land goes into a community land trust — owned together, for good. No bank can foreclose it. No developer can buy it out from under us. No council telling us what we can build. When we're too worn out to plant, it's where we come home to.
You'd hold your own home and a real stake in the commons. The buy-in is small, and most of it you can put in with your hands instead of your wallet — we'd rather have your skills than your savings.
We're not selling anything. We're gathering the crew first.
2,560 acres in the West Kootenays · ~$4.6M (about $1,800/acre)

A share is claimed, not bought — no money changes hands now. This holds your place while we gather the crew.
